An example of a mind map, developed by Illumine Training. The mind map has a central idea–in this case, topics to consider when exploring how to solve a problem–with numerous branches extending from the center. These branches can then be split into smaller branches of their own to represent subtopics. It is a visual, non-linear depiction of an outline.
