Planning for Accessibility: January 2016 Online Learning Webinar

by Christine Scherer

The first Online Learning Webinar of 2016 focused on accessibility. In Planning to Write for Accessibility, Christine Scherer and Krissy Wilson demonstrated a number of simple steps that designers and developers can take to make course sites more accessible. They demonstrated how screenreaders work and how to use functions that already exist within Canvas to increase accessibility. A recording of the presentation is available on Adobe Connect, and the presentation slides are available for viewing and download: Planning to Write an Accesible Online Course – SPS DL Webinar – 1_2016.

If you are interested in learning about improving accessibility in your course, please reach out to Christine Scherer or Krissy Wilson with questions. And be sure to look for information on February’s Online Learning Webinar later this month!
